Meliora & Co.

Better things, built with intent.

Meliora & Co. is an independent product company in Zagreb. We design, build and operate software, games and digital experiences — taking ideas from the first sketch to products people can actually use.

We build things we believe should exist.

Meliora is a home for products shaped by technology, design and a strong point of view.

Some begin with an everyday frustration. Others start with something familiar that deserves a better digital experience. What connects them is the way we work: understand the problem, care about the details, build the real thing, and keep improving it after it ships.

We prefer useful over loud, considered over rushed, and products that earn a place in people’s lives.

Our products

Built here. Used out there.

We develop and operate our own products from Zagreb, combining product thinking, design, engineering and increasingly capable technology into one process.

The same table in the dark theme: the cloth is a deep warm grey-olive and the cards stay light and readable. The opponent has led the seven of kupe, 30 cards are left in the talon, the score reads Bot 18, You 0, and the line under the hand of three reads “Your turn”.
Briškula at night, the opponent 18 points up. Deep in a game it is losing.

Briškula & Trešeta

Traditional games, thoughtfully rebuilt for today.

Briškula & Trešeta brings two familiar card games to iPhone with a modern interface, intelligent computer opponents, regional rules, statistics and a choice between contemporary and traditional Triestine cards.

Built for people who already know the games — and for the next generation learning them.

Familiar where it matters. Better where it counts.

Good products do not need to erase what came before them.

With Briškula & Trešeta, the rules, terminology and character of the games remain familiar. The work happens around them: better interaction, clearer information, stronger accessibility, thoughtful animation and software designed for the device in your hand.

That approach extends beyond one game. We are interested in products where technology can improve an experience without taking away what made it worth caring about in the first place.

From idea to product.

We work across the parts of a product that are usually separated into different disciplines.

Think carefully. Build properly. Ship. Learn. Improve.

  1. Product

Finding the useful idea, defining what belongs in it and deciding what does not.

  2. Design

Interfaces, systems and identities built around clarity rather than decoration.

  3. Engineering

Mobile, web and software built to become real products — not prototypes that stop at the demo.

  4. Intelligent tooling

AI, automation and new development tools, used where they make the product better or let a small team do better work faster. The technology should improve the product, not become the reason for building it.

  5. Launch & iteration

Shipping is the beginning of the feedback loop, not the end of the project.

The company

Meliora means better things.

Meliora & Co. was founded in Zagreb in 2024 with a simple idea: build things worth improving, then keep improving them.

We are an independent company working at the intersection of software, product design and emerging technology. We are intentionally small, hands-on and close to what we make.

That means fewer layers between an idea and the people building it. Decisions stay close to the product. Details do not disappear in handovers. And when something ships, we remain responsible for what happens next.

Today, Meliora is building its own products while continuing to explore where thoughtful software can make established experiences meaningfully better.

  1. Useful first.

A beautiful product that solves nothing is still decoration.

  2. Details compound.

The small decisions people barely notice are often the reason something feels good to use.

  3. Technology is a means.

We use new technology readily when it improves the outcome — and ignore it when it does not.

  4. Ship, then improve.

Real use teaches more than another month spent imagining it.
