Briškula & Trešeta

The games you know, made for today.

Two classic card games, rebuilt for iPhone with care for the rules, the cards and the people who already know them by heart.

Briškula in play. The opponent has led the seven of bastoni into the centre of the table; three cards sit in hand at the bottom of the screen; the talon shows 32 cards left with the trump card tucked beneath it; the score reads Bot 7, You 0, and the prompt below the hand reads “Your turn”.
Briškula, one against one. The opponent has led the seven of bastoni. Thirty-two cards left in the talon, the trump tucked beneath it.

Nothing important was supposed to change.

Briškula and trešeta do not need reinventing. They need software that understands what makes them good.

The familiar rules, terminology and rhythm remain. Around them, we’ve built a clean interface, responsive play, intelligent opponents, regional options and details designed specifically for the phone.

Two games. Properly done.

Briškula

Play full briškula matches — obična or dupla, one against one or two against two — against computer opponents at three difficulty levels, with rule options for the way you are used to playing.

Trešeta

A complete trešeta experience with akuža, familiar scoring and configurable rules — built with the same attention to pace and clarity.

The game’s home screen on a cream ground: the title Briškula & Trešeta, a wide red Continue button, a line reading “Game in progress · Briškula · Games 0 : 0”, then Play again, and smaller buttons for Choose a game, Rules, Stats and Settings.

The same table in the dark theme: the cloth is a deep warm grey-olive and the cards stay light and readable. The opponent has led the seven of kupe, 30 cards are left in the talon, the score reads Bot 18, You 0, and the line under the hand of three reads “Your turn”.
The same table at night. Not an inverted tablecloth — one warm bulb over it, the cards still sitting in the light.

Play at your level.

Not every opponent should play the same way.

Choose Easy, Medium or Hard, whether you want a relaxed game or something that makes you think about every card. The easier opponents play with less to go on; none of them throws a game on purpose.

Your rules still matter.

These games change subtly from place to place.

Briškula & Trešeta supports different rule preferences so the digital version can feel closer to the one you already know. Splitska, Istarska and Paška come as presets; anything else can be set by hand, one rule at a time.

Four rule cards on the game’s Rules screen: Splitska — to 31, ultima a full punat, akuže; Istarska — to 41, ultima a full punat, akuže, zamiš under a punat; Paška — to 31, ultima a third, akuže, high trump redeals; and Custom — set the rules your way, card by card.
Three regional presets, and everything else set by hand
One rule filling one card: “Ultima — What the last trick is worth in trešeta”, above an illustration of a hand laying the final two cards onto a brown table between stacks of counters, and two choices beneath it — Full punat, selected, and One third.

Modern or Traditional.

Choose the cards that feel right to you.

Modern

Meliora’s contemporary interpretation of the Triestine deck — cleaner, bolder and designed specifically for a screen.

Traditional

The familiar visual language generations of players already know.

Same game. Your choice.

The ace of bati in the Modern deck: long batons crossed behind one upright baton, in flat blue, coral and yellow on cream. The king of spadi in the Modern deck, labelled RE DI SPADE: a crowned figure holding an upright sword, mirrored top to bottom, with the index 13 in both corners.

The ace of bati in the Traditional deck: a hand gripping one ornate baton crowned with two faces, a ribbon reading “Molte volte le giuocate van finire a bastonate”, and a rooster beside it.The king of spadi in the Traditional deck, labelled RE DI SPADE: a crowned figure with a sword and a lance in a red, yellow and blue robe, mirrored top to bottom, with the index 13 in both corners.

Made for the table. Designed for the screen.

Cards move with purpose. Press and hold the table to spread the current trick in the order it was played. Haptics, sound and animation give feedback without getting in the way of play.

Small decisions, but they are the difference between a game that merely works and one that feels right.

Keep track of the games behind you.

See how you play over time, follow your results by game and by difficulty, and keep a record of the games you’ve finished.

Built to be usable.

VoiceOver labels, larger text, Reduce Motion, a dark appearance and turn cues that do not rely on colour alone are part of the product rather than an afterthought. VoiceOver announces your turn once, without narrating every move the computer makes.

The Settings screen: Theme set to System with Light and Dark alongside it, Language offering Hrvatski and English with English selected, Sound and Haptics both On, and buttons to replay the walkthrough or report a bug.
Light, dark or the phone’s own setting — in Croatian or English.

Play wherever you are.

Briškula & Trešeta’s computer games remain available without needing a connection, so a game does not depend on where you happen to be.
