Who we are

Meliora & Co. j.d.o.o., based in Zagreb, Croatia, makes Briškula & Trešeta and runs this website, melioraandco.info. For the information described on this page we are the data controller — the company responsible for it under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Briškula & Trešeta

The current version works entirely on your phone. There is no account and nothing to sign in to, and it makes no internet connection, so it works in airplane mode. It contains no analytics or crash-reporting software, doesn’t track you across other apps or websites, and doesn’t ask for access to your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.

What we collect

From the app: nothing. Nothing you do in the game is sent to us, or to anyone else.

If you email us: your email address, your message and anything you attach. The bug-report template on the support page suggests details such as your iPhone model and iOS version; include only what you are comfortable sharing. We use your email only to reply and to fix what you reported, and keep it only as long as that takes, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

From this website: nothing about you. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other companies — its fonts and images are served from the site itself. Its hosting provider records the technical details every website visit involves, described below.

Where we do handle personal information — your emails, and the website’s server logs — we rely on our legitimate interest in answering you and in keeping the website working and secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Data stored on your phone

To remember your games, the app keeps a small database in its own storage on your phone:

• finished games — which game, how many players, the rules and difficulty, the result and score, and when each started and finished
• your streak of consecutive days played
• your settings — theme, sound, haptics, language, the card deck you use, whether you have seen the walkthrough, and the rules you last chose
• the game in progress, so you can pick it up later

This stays on your phone. The app doesn’t send it anywhere, and we can’t see it. Deleting the app deletes it. If your iPhone is backed up to iCloud or a computer, the backup may include it, as it would for any app; those backups are yours, handled by Apple under your own account.

Third-party services

Three outside companies are involved in making the game available, hosting this website and handling email. Each looks after data under its own privacy policy.

Apple distributes the app through the App Store and TestFlight. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may pass us crash reports and usage statistics for the app. That choice and that data are Apple’s to manage, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. If you test a pre-release version through TestFlight, Apple shares what it gives every developer: crash reports, usage such as installs and sessions, any feedback you send, and the email address you were invited with, if you were invited by email. Vercel hosts this website. Like any web host, its servers record technical details of each request — such as IP address, browser and time — to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Vercel’s privacy policy

Google Workspace handles our email, so messages you send us are stored by Google. Google’s privacy policy

Vercel and Google may process data outside the European Union. Both commit to the safeguards EU law requires for such transfers, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Children

Briškula & Trešeta is a card game played for points; nothing is wagered. Because the current version collects no information from anyone, it collects none from children. If you believe a child has emailed us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, object to our using it, or give it to you in a portable format. In practice that means the emails you have sent us. Write to the address below and we will answer within one month, as the law requires. You can also complain to a data protection authority — in Croatia, the Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka (azop.hr) — or to the authority where you live.

Changes to this policy

If what the app or this website does with information changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top moves with it. The app does nothing today that this page does not describe.
